Measuring what matters

Figuring out where to start with measuring wellbeing and psychosocial risk is challenging. This session offers company leaders, managers and directors a guide to measuring the wellbeing and psychosocial risk factors that matter. SaferMe co-founder Mike Steere and science lead Dr Steve Cantwell will explain how and why they developed a solution that not only measures psychological and social issues but helps a business identify what is increasing the risk of accidents, absenteeism & worker churn.

Mike co-founded SaferMe in 2014 and he is currently responsible for the company’s ACC-backed innovation work  – in which one of the key outputs is its new psychosocial risk tool.

Mike has a strong interest in worker wellbeing and bringing helpful lessons to New Zealand from his time working in Sweden, the UK and Australia. Mike is Canterbury born and currently lives in Christchurch with his wife & two children.
